Nors marks its 20th anniversary with the launch of the SDLG brand in Namibia

2024 has been a very special year for Nors Namibia, as it marks 20 years of history and activity in its market.

On October 17 and 18, the company opened the doors of its home in Windhoek, celebrating this milestone in the longevity of the company with a memorable event. The event, which was attended by Júlio Rodrigues, Nors Group CCO and Chairman of the Southern Africa operations, by the company's family of employees, by the Volvo Trucks Africa representatives - Martin Nilsonn and Markus Fankhauser - as well as Kolm Graham from UD Trucks Southern Africa, brands that the company represents in its market. Also, it was attended by the main customers, who have relied on the company's range of products, services and technical expertise for more than two decades.

As a milestone in its successful journey, Nors Namibia's 20th anniversary also marked the beginning of a new chapter in its mission to grow its partners' business by introducing the SDLG brand and expanding its activity into the construction equipment segment, thereby supplying wheel loaders, excavators, backhoe loaders and a whole range of quality equipment, with the aim of complementing and responding to the demands of Namibian operators.

Established in 2004 and with technical facilities in Windhoek, Walvis Bays and Keetmanshoop, Nors began operating as the official representative of the Volvo trucks and buses brand, selling and providing after-sales service for the brand in these segments. With a growing ambition in its actions, today the company also represents the Japanese truck brand UD Trucks and its own brand of generators Vesper Energy Solutions, and as of 2024, it also started representing the SDLG construction equipment brand, marking its entry and debut in this segment of activity, in a trajectory that also meets the strategy defined by Nors, centered on a clear focus on its current core business, where the construction equipment segment plays a highly important role in the group's turnover.
